About the project
Youthpower is doing a college essay fundraiser for a youth-led reforestation & sustainability project in Africa. We are sponsoring individual editing sessions. The teachers and editors are volunteering their time. The editors are adults (many of them teachers and experienced editors) who successfully got into college with their essays. The person leading the workshops is Heather MacLeod, an experienced writing coach who has good reviews on Berkeley Parents Network, and who has taught college essay classes with Alameda Education Foundation.
